Teodoro Romero
Center Teodoro Romero (202-C-85) had a very impressive game in the last round for Arce, receiving a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 34-year old player had a double-double of 25 points and 34 rebounds, while his team beat Izalco (#5, 1-9) 70-59. Thanks to this victory Arce moved-up to the 3rd position in Salvadorean Liga Superior. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Arce will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Romero has many years of experience at Arce, through which he has constantly improved. Teodoro Romero has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 17.4ppg) and averages impressive 2.6bpg and 58.0% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was 23-year old Julio Ramirez (175-F-96) of Nejapa. Ramirez had a very good evening with a double-double of 29 points and 15 rebounds. Bad luck as Nejapa lost that game 64-86 to slightly higher-ranked Juayua (#2, 7-2). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Nejapa still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 8 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Nejapa managed to get this year. Ramirez is well-known at Nejapa and is a proven leader in his second season with the team. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 14.3ppg (#7). He also registered 9.4 boards per game.
Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Harrison Rieger (193-F-98) of league's second-best Juayua. Rieger scored 26 points and grabbed eight rebounds. He was a key player of Juayua, leading his team to a 86-64 easy win against #4 ranked Nejapa. Juayua needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 7 victories and 2 lost games. Rieger has a great season in El Salvador. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 25.1ppg (best scorer), rebounds with 17.0rpg (2nd best) and assists with 3.3apg (4th best). He also has 2.3spg and 3.5bpg.

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
